Bet on every moment of cricket — from match winner to over-by-over live odds, bhaggo offers a complete sports betting experience built for cricket fans in Bangladesh.
Three cricket formats and favourite tournaments
The biggest appeal of cricket betting is that the nature of the game changes completely across formats — and so do the betting opportunities in each.
T20: The fastest format. Situations can change every over, making it ideal for live betting. BPL, IPL and T20 World Cup are the most popular tournaments in this format — and they hold a special place for fans in Bangladesh.
ODI: In this fifty-over format, you have more time to read how a match is developing. Bangladesh Tigers' performances in the ICC World Cup and Champions Trophy are always a talking point, so interest in betting on these matches tends to be high.
Test: In this five-day format, results can swing dramatically. Odds on day three or four of a Test can look very different from day one. Beyond the match winner, a draw — the unique third result in Test cricket — is an important market here.
At bhaggo, you can bet on football alongside cricket. The markets differ between the two — in football you work with three possible outcomes because a draw is possible, while in limited-overs cricket there are only two. There are also betting options for tennis, kabaddi and other sports, though none have as familiar a market in Bangladesh as cricket. All sports markets are available in one place at bhaggo Bet.
Popular betting markets — how to bet on each
In cricket, a single match offers several different markets to bet on. The most common ones are listed below.
Match Winner
Team A or Team B — this market is simply about who wins. In T20 and ODI, only two results are possible; in Test cricket, a draw is also an option. It is straightforward and easy to understand, making it the best starting point for beginners.
Toss Winner
You can bet on who will win the toss before the match begins. It is a completely independent event — unrelated to the match result. Pitch conditions and weather can sometimes make the toss particularly significant.
Top Run Scorer
This market is about which batter from a given team will score the most runs in the match. The bet depends on individual performance, and you pick one player from within a team.
Total Runs Over/Under
A bet on whether the total runs scored will be above (over) or below (under) a set number. Example: if the line for a T20 innings is set at 160 runs, you can bet on over or under.
Multi Bet
You select the outcomes of multiple matches or events and combine them into a single bet. You win only if every selection is correct, but the potential return is much higher. See the odds section below for more details.
First Wicket Partnership
A bet on how many runs the two openers will put on together. The outcome of this market often becomes clear within the first few overs, which makes it a popular choice in live betting.
Handicap Betting
To balance the gap between two sides, one team is given a virtual advantage (handicap). For example, if the weaker team is given +1.5 wickets or +30 runs, you win the bet even if that team loses by less than the set margin. The difference in performance matters more here than a specific score or result.
Decimal, Fractional and American Odds — what is the difference
However odds are displayed, they mean the same thing — they tell you how much you will get back relative to your stake. The three common formats are explained below with an example.
In the example above, Team A's winning odds are written in three different formats — but all three say the same thing. A ৳200 bet returns ৳600 if Team A wins (৳400 profit plus the original ৳200); if Team A loses, the full ৳200 is gone.
Now consider a favourite's example. Say Team B's odds are 1.50 decimal, 1/2 fractional, -200 American. A ৳200 bet returns ৳300 if Team B wins — a profit of only ৳100. American minus odds (-200) mean you need to stake ৳200 to make ৳100 profit.
bhaggo generally uses the decimal format, which is straightforward to calculate — (odds × stake) = total return.
Multi bet example
Three selections with odds of 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90
Combined odds: 1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81
Potential return on a ৳100 bet: ৳581
If even one of the three is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost. Multi bets offer higher returns, but the risk is also higher.
Live Betting — how odds shift with wickets and overs
Betting that continues after a match has started is called live or in-play betting. On bhaggo, odds for an ongoing match update over by over, which is a different experience from pre-match betting.
In cricket, odds change instantly whenever a wicket falls or a big shot is played. If a team finds itself in trouble mid-innings, their odds of winning lengthen (they become the underdog) and the opposition's odds shorten. Equally, when a big partnership builds, the batting side's odds fall quickly.
* These are illustrative figures for explanation purposes — not live odds.
When runs come quickly in the powerplay, the batting side's odds shorten; when a big target remains in the final 5 overs, odds shift toward the bowling side. Being able to read these changes makes live betting easier to follow.
Keep in mind that odds move fast in live betting — waiting even briefly can mean the price has changed. Quick decisions are often needed. Treat it as part of the entertainment, not a guaranteed way to make money.
Things to keep in mind with live betting
- Let the odds settle a little after a wicket falls
- Odds move more during the powerplay and death overs
- Stay within your set budget
Practical tips for betting — know this before you start
To enjoy cricket betting, it helps to understand a few basic things beforehand. This is not a game of skill — it is a form of entertainment that depends on probability.
-
Set your budget first
Before each session, decide the maximum you are willing to spend. Staying within that limit keeps betting in the category of entertainment. -
Start with one market
Beginners should stick to the match winner market first. Once you have some experience, you can gradually explore other markets. -
Understand the format before betting
T20 and ODI play out very differently. In T20, a match can turn in an instant; in Test cricket, the result can shift over five days. -
Follow responsible gaming principles
Always keep betting as a form of entertainment. bhaggo has responsible gaming guidelines — it is worth reading them once. -
Avoid rushing in live betting
In-play betting does require quick decisions, but placing large bets in a panic is not a good idea. Start with small stakes to get a feel for live betting first. -
Remember the 21+ age limit
All betting and casino activity on bhaggo is for those aged 21 and above only.
If you are also interested in slots or casino games beyond cricket, you will find those options separately in the slots section and at bhaggo casino — all on the same platform.
